About the Project
Mandizo is an invoicing product for small Indian businesses. Anyone can open the editor, fill in an invoice and download a professional PDF without creating an account. Signing in adds saved clients, history and business presets.
Zovintra designed and built the product end to end: the marketing site, the guest and signed-in invoice editor, the database and access rules, and the security tests that run on every change.
Requirements & Objectives
- Let a first-time visitor create and download a correct invoice in minutes, with no sign-up.
- Handle Indian GST (CGST, SGST and IGST) and multiple currencies correctly.
- Offer professional templates and business-type presets so common setups start filled in.
- Let signed-in users keep clients, invoices and business details private to their own account.
- Keep the product fast and simple on phones as well as desktops.
The Engineered Solution
1Guest-first invoice editor
A live editor with a side-by-side preview. Line items, taxes and totals update as you type, and a PDF is one click away.
2GST and multi-currency
Tax invoices with GST breakdowns, multiple currencies, and a UPI QR code so customers can pay straight from the invoice.
3Templates and presets
Seven invoice templates plus business-type presets that pre-fill sensible defaults for common kinds of business.
4Accounts with private data
Firebase sign-in with a Postgres database where every table is protected by row-level security, so users only ever see their own records.

Engineering Process
- Designed the invoice editor and templates first, then built the signed-in features around them.
- Moved authentication to Firebase Auth and re-keyed the database rules to match, with migration scripts kept in the repository.
- Wrote automated security test suites that check data ownership and access rules, and run in CI on every change.
- Used AI-assisted engineering under human direction, with every change reviewed before release.
