About the Project
ManOps is the operations tool Zovintra built for itself. Projects, tasks, calendar, files, team chat, calls and reporting live in one place instead of across several tools.
It runs as a web app and as native iOS and Android apps, all on the same API, so the team has the same data on desktop and phone.
Requirements & Objectives
- One workspace for projects, tasks, calendar, files and conversation.
- A fast board and keyboard-driven navigation for daily use.
- Native phone apps with calls and push notifications, not just a mobile web page.
- Light and dark themes with a choice of accent colour.
- A test suite strong enough to change things quickly without breaking them.
The Engineered Solution
1Projects and tasks board
A kanban board for each project, with a task view that works in both light and dark themes.
2Calendar, vault and inbox
A team calendar, a vault for project files and an inbox that gathers what needs attention.
3Chat and calls
Team chat and in-app calls, with push notifications on phones.
4Insights and command palette
Reporting across projects, and a command palette to jump anywhere from the keyboard.

Engineering Process
- Built the web app first, generated one versioned OpenAPI contract from its routes, then built the native apps against that contract.
- Built the web app with Next.js and the phone apps with Flutter, sharing the same backend.
- Kept 44 database migrations in the repository so the schema is reproducible.
- Maintained over 5,500 automated tests across the web and native apps.
- Used AI-assisted engineering under human direction, with every change reviewed before release.
